Hometown
Ministry/professional background
I graduated from St. Louis Christian College and attended Lincoln Christian Seminary. I've been serving as a minister for over 20 years. First as a youth minister and later as an associate minister. I've served churches in Sullivan, MO; Alton, IL; Elizabethton, TN; and most recently (since 2000) here in St. Charles County.
Family Info
My wife, Kirsten and I were married in 1992 and we have two daughters: Alyssa and Abigail. Our pets include Katrina the pit bull, who lives across the street; Max the terrier, who lives four doors down; and the two horses who live on the farm down the road from us.
How long have you been at HCC and what do you like about working here?
I've been at HCC since December of 2004. What I've always loved about Harvester Christian Church, even before I came to serve here, is the positive attitude and enthusiasm everyone has for ministry. That and the frequent hot dog cookouts!
What's your favorite book, movie, or television show?
Every year I swear I'm done with it, but inevitably I get sucked into another season of Survivor. Then there's CSI, Myth Busters, and anything showing on the Food Network.
My favorite movie is Tombstone.
I re-read C.S. Lewis' Mere Christianity or The Chronicles of Narnia just about every year.
Something we don't know about you ....
Doyle Roth was my youth minister growing up, and for a while Doyle and Jean were our neighbors.
